This Wed, Jan 24th, let's discuss Cormac McCarthy's The Road

What a way to start the new year, eh?

Cormac McCarthy’s The Road is one of his most accessible novels, but also one of his most harrowing.

Is it a parable, or a science fiction masterpiece? Could it be an allegorical warning for our mistreatment of the planet, or an insight into what happens when warmongering and avarice go too far?

I welcome all the Gothic Book Club members to an online meet up, this Wednesday, January 24th at 8pm UK/IRE, 3pm ET, 12pm PT.

Simply use the link to join at the given time. This has been one of the most enriching and rewarding elements of the Gothic Book Club, in that it has allowed us to come together as a group to delve into our shared love of the macabre and otherworldly.

Don’t feel you need to participate either. Some members like to come and listen. It’s not necessary to turn your camera on if you don’t feel comfortable doing so. This is a welcoming, safe space and it would be wonderful to have you join us.
