Yes, wow, that plot twist, revelation, whatever you want to call it. If the book ended with “This is what it means to be damned,” I actually would have been 100% satisfied. I have no idea where it goes from here. But more hell, please.
I’m about 100 pages in and this book has already had 2 emotionally climactic “movie moments” for me.
- “Florence is ours!”
- “He should have married you.”
Both of those scenes just jumped off the page and had my heart pumping.
